Finally to France
So I finally landed in France! It's the start of the season for us at Scarpat and I went over for a few days just to check everything was in order. We are almost full for rental this summer which is incredible, if a bit nerve wracking. I put most of it down to my talented, design boff, big brother, Matt, who made the place shine while pretending to let me think I was doing all the styling. Not forgetting even bigger brother Pete who is keeping an eye on the money side of things while I just fill in with running the show and chatting along in my babbling french. Sabine from En Toutes Saisons got us off the ground last year with our first rental and is still doing a great job.
The Garden is coming on a treat thanks to my lovely Dordogne Caretakers!
The odd HR print keeps popping up here and there! I made up some big cushions with my Big Flower design. More pics to follow in the summer.......

Catch Up Time, Spring Fair
Well it's been a bit of a busy month of May! I've not really had time to keep up with blog world as I've been all over the place....the next few postings are kind of upside down while I do the catch up!
First off was lots of making for the Spring Fair in Stoke Newington, organised by Of Cabbages and Kings and We Make London. Purses, bags, patches, Tees and more. It was a great opportunity to try a few new things and get my stock sorted out.
The Fair was good fun and I met some really nice people and fellow stall holders. I had a good chat with Tanya from Strikk handknits. She's got some lovely pics and colour palettes on her blog and I love the new clothes hanger covers. It was also nice to get some advice about Etsy as it's all still very new to me.
I did a bit of shopping of course...
I bought this gorgeous little bear from Namolio and added to my Moozle collection with one for my brother's new baby to be and a matching cushion for my own Moozle at home. The weekend also led to a little collaboration with Kate and I'm really chuffed with the new Shapes and Things Moozle she did for her shop.
Lady Luck Rules Ok had some great brooches and I now have a little Love Bird in my collection.
All in all, a great show!

Next Stop Brighton
The following weekend I flew off to Brighton to meet my friend Kay for a child free spree and jaunt around just a handful of some of the amazing houses and lovely work on display at the Brighton Open House Weekends. We barely did a tenth of what was on offer and I'll definitely go down for longer next time.
37 Art@73 Nick Orsborn & Guest Artists
This was the starting point, vibrant lively watercolours at Kay's next door neighbour's Open House. Lots of other nice stuff from guest artists such as Louise Hill's mad knitted characters.

HR in Portugal
The Monday morning after the Spring Fair, we flew off to Portugal for a little family getaway. Portugal is so beautiful this time of year, poppies and wild flowers everywhere. Stanley had a ball and was my supermodel for a few days see here.
That's ma boy!
Couldn't resist taking this.....3 stars, not bad!
I also started taking pictures of random numbers for Stanley as he is number mad. I'll do something with them at some point! Because of this I just spotted a little beauty above the door of No. 38. It reminded me of the very talented Geninne, who I came across originally at Three Potato Four and then I bought four of her prints on Etsy. Her watercolours are amazing and it looks like her sons are following in her footsteps, check out their blog too, it's so lovely!

Escape Time.....
After a hectic /great weekend at the Design Fair, more of that later, I have just had a fabulous five days in Portugal. We took Stanley on a fashion shoot to snap some of my new products...... well not exactly, just a very nice family break! Nigel suggested that I might be exploiting our son in his early years. I really don't think it bothered him that much though!
